We wanted to do something to commemorate all the first responders who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. This is a comprehensive list of all the firefighters, EMS personnel, chaplains, other staff, members of private EMS, and the fire patrol as well. We did not include any police or transit authority personnel since our page is not dedicated to them. By no means are we implying they should not be remembered, but our page is solely dedicated to fire and EMS providers and those directly related to them. We have included a copy from Wikipedia, which offers an extensive list of those who perished that day. Additionally, we have included links to a couple of other sites that provide information about the responders from 9/11. #343 #343neverforget #neverforget911 #FDNY #NYPD #NYCEMS #PAPD #NYC #realheroes #September11th2001 #344 #344neverforget #343nuncaolvides #344nuncaolvides #nuncaolvidesel911 #verdaderoshéroes #11deseptiembrede2001

Wikipedia September 11 attacks
Today September 11th, 2001, the Fire Department Of New York (FDNY) lost 343 of its members. There were 340 firefighters, 2 were EMS personnel, and 1 chaplain. Also 8 private EMS personnel and 1 from the New York Fire Patrol.
There were 75 firehouses in which at least one member was killed. The FDNY also lost its department chief, first deputy commissioner, one of its marshals, one of its chaplains, as well as other administrative or specialty personnel.
Over the course of the next three hours, 121 engine companies, 62 ladder companies, and 27 fire officers were deployed to the scene. All off-duty firefighters were recalled — the first time the FDNY had issued a total recall in over 30 years. In addition to the regular fire apparatus and personnel assigned to the incident, the FDNY also deployed its only Haz-Mat unit, its mobile command center, its field communications unit, all its five rescue units, both of its high-rise units, six of its seven squad units, and one of its two tactical support units.
Map of FDNY's first-responding firehouses to the September 11 attacks. Circles show the location of the company responding; solid circles mean multiple companies. Rose-colored circles indicate companies with casualties.
The following list is a tally of the fatalities in each company which responded to the World Trade Center:
