Official STOP THE BLEED® Ambassador

This is Anna, I am now an official STOP THE BLEED® Ambassador and I will be a part of The National STOP THE BLEED® Day, which is this Thursday, May 20th. To help spread the word, I plan on sharing the STOP THE BLEED® information on all of our 8 social media pages I have for my business, as well as my own 4 personal social media pages. Due to the nature of my business, I have a network of numerous first responders, including local fire departments, ambulance squads, news outlets, and local government officials. I intend to share this information with them as well since I believe that everyone should have access to this information and they should have the ability to take the course on it, should they choose to do so.

For those of you who don’t know, National STOP THE BLEED® is an organization that trains everyday people how to handle traumatic injuries where someone is heavily bleeding, in order to stop the person from bleeding to death and could possibly save their life. I chose to become an ambassador for STOP THE BLEED® because I believe everyone should do their part to help each other, no matter what the circumstance. I think that what they teach and train people to do is extremely important, and the best part is, ANYONE can do it. It is also important to note, that this isn’t just about one day, the National STOP THE BLEED® Day, but this is about every day of the year, everywhere.

Traumatic bleeding events can happen from a motor vehicle accident, vehicle vs pedestrian accidents, falls, bicycle accidents, sporting events, workplace accidents, any number of things that can cause bleeding. This is also why I chose to become an ambassador. It doesn’t matter where you live or who you are or what you have, a traumatic bleeding event could happen to anyone, at any time, and for any reason, or even for no reason at all. That is why this training is so important. You may think “It won’t happen here” or “It won’t happen to anyone I know.” The point is, it CAN happen anywhere and to anyone and, whether you know them or not, it is important to know this training so you may be the one that, for the victim(s), is in the right place at the right time, and you could save their life or the life of someone they know.

The STOP THE BLEED® organization will train ordinary people to stop someone from bleeding to death. You do not have to be a medical provider or a first responder. You can just be the person next door, who leads a normal life as a teacher, pastor, taxi driver, secretary, or any other profession, or a homemaker and stay-at-home mom or dad. Anyone can and should learn this training. That is why I became an ambassador, so that anyone who wants to learn this training can do so and be there for someone in their hour of need. It could mean the difference between life and death for someone. That is training worth having.
